Introducing my New Podcast About.... Digital Literacy!

That’s right… after much consideration and contemplation, I have decided to launch my first Podcast! Every two weeks (approximately) I will be releasing a new episode where I sit down in-person or virtually with an invited guest to discuss an aspect of Digital Literacy that they especially understand, care about, or want to discuss.

Digital Literacy is such a vast topic with many aspects, elements, considerations and evolutions applicable to every age and demographic around the world, that there will be no shortage of folks I want to speak with!

The new podcast title is Digital Literacy Stories: Critical Conversations about Digital Literacy, the Internet, and Content Creation, and I will be recording each episode on the unceded and stolen territories of the Musqueum, Tseil-Waututh and Squamish First Nations.  I would encourage everyone that is listening to check out the app & website Native-Land.ca | Our home on native land to learn more about the land they are living, working and playing on. Truth and Reconciliation Week is Sept 25-30, so please learn more about this important history here.

In today’s episode, I sat down with Heather McLean, Assistant Prof at Athabaska University to discuss AI and How to Use & Leverage this tool in the Classroom.

Heather Mclean (she/her) is an Assistant Professor in Human Geography and Environmental Studies at Athabasca University. Her current research investigates the role of performance-based arts in envisioning and enacting mutual aid in small cities and rural areas in so-called British Columbia. Working from feminist, queer, decolonial, and participatory paradigms, she engages in research that involves participants in co-creating knowledge.

We hope you enjoy the episode, and please contact me if you would be interested in speaking with me on the podcast!
