Real or Fake? Online Information Verification

LEARN HOW TO SAFElY USE THE INTERNET FOR STUDENT RESEARCH PROJECTS AND SOCIAL MEDIA ETIQUETTE

The internet is a very exciting place for us to learn and see cool things, but how do we know what is real, or what is fake? What is the difference between a news story and a fiction story, and why should we care?  How can we tell if a website or viral video is something we should share, or not?

Learn how to teach students why it's important for us to evaluate online information, plus how to lead your classroom through a simple-yet-effective video creation activity to guide your students through the creation of a team-based PSA (Public Service Announcement) which addresses this very important online issue.
